The Referral Support Service (RSS) is a local service working on behalf of the Yorkshire and Humber Integrated Care Board and GPs who practice here.
The aim of the RSS is to get patients the right care, at the right time, in the right place, first time.
When your GP refers you for a hospital appointment, it will be passed to a team of dedicated patient support staff who work for the RSS.
They will contact you by telephone to explain the options for where to have your appointment. To help you decide, they will have access to a range of useful information such as waiting times, accessibility and car parking. This will help to ensure you get the most convenient appointment as quickly as possible.
