Hunmanby Surgery opened in December 1989, to serve all the residents of Hunmanby and the surrounding population.  Car parking is convenient in front of the surgery and on road.

Under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (The Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 Part 4), the registering body (Hunmanby Surgery) is required to provide to the Care Quality Commissions a statement of purpose.

Our purpose is to provide patients registered with the practice with personal health care of high quality and to seek continuous improvement on the health status of the practice population overall. We aim to achieve this by developing and maintaining a happy sound practice which is responsive to people’s needs and expectations and which reflects whenever possible the latest advances in Primary Health Care.

Extended Access

From 1st October 2018 our surgery joined with 8 others in the Scarborough area to provide extended access for patients between the hours of 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Friday, and weekend access on a Saturday and Sunday. This was an 18 month pilot project commissioned by Scarborough and Ryedale CCG. The extended access provision will continue throught 2020 to 2021

Every participating practice is CQC registered. The extended opening hours are being covered by each surgery on a rotational basis. Patients can be seen in any of the following premises:-
