Hunmanby Surgery

New Buzzer System

Due to recent changes in COVID-19 the front doors of the surgery will be closed to prevent risk to patients and staff.

This will mean patients who have been triaged by a Clinician and asked to visit the surgery will need to use the intercom system located at the front door. The intercom system should only be used for booked appointments or a clinical emergency.

Please put requests for repeat prescriptions through the letterbox with a clear indication of what you would like to order. If you haven’t already got a nominated pharmacy add this information to your request. All prescriptions where possible will be electronic to nominated pharmacies.

If you have been asked to bring a sample to the surgery please press the intercom and advise the member of staff who will meet you at the front door with an open bag for you to place your sample in.  Please make sure your name and DOB are clearly marked on the sample.

From 23/03/2020 appointments will initially be via a telephone call. Clinicians will complete this type of consultation and arrange a face to face appointment if necessary. Any patients with pre-booked appointments will be contacted in due course.

To protect others, do not go to places like a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay at home.

How long to stay at home

if you have symptoms of coronavirus, you’ll need to stay at home for 7 days from the onset of your symptoms.

if you live with someone who has symptoms, you’ll need to stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person in the home started having symptoms

If you live with someone who is 70 or over, has a long-term condition, is pregnant or has a weakened immune system, try to find somewhere else for them to stay for 14 days.
