Due to the high number of missed appointments by patients not attending we have implemented a new policy.
During the past year we have lost 137 appointment which amounts to 18 per week.
As a result we would appreciate 24 hours notice of cancellation wherever possible. Failure to give sufficient notice of cancellation or failure to attend will be classed as a missed appointment.
Should you miss more than three appointments within a six month period you will be required to discuss the reason for your missed appointments with the Patient Services Manager and this may result in your being asked to register with another practice.
We are sorry that we have to implement this policy but wasted appointments mean delays for other patients as well as the inefficient use of our time.
