73rd birthday of the NHS

Dear All

I do hope you are all continuing to keep safe and well.

As you may be aware the NHS celebrates its 73rd birthday in July 2021 and this is seen as an opportunity to thank staff and recognise their hard work in what has been the most challenging time in NHS history.

NHS England have asked for us to share patient experiences, to help tell the story of the past year with a particular focus on:

·       positive changes made in the way services are delivered that improve patient care beyond COVID-19

·       patient perspective stories about care received or services provided during COVID -19

During our recent “Patient Partner Network” meetings many of you shared your own experiences of accessing hospital services and your local GP Practice during COVID-19.  If you feel your own experience is one you would like to share that highlights positive change, by putting these in writing, that we can share via the website, in newsletters with NHS England, as part of the celebrations would be greatly appreciated.

This is a great opportunity for us to showcase the staff and local services as well as learn from our experiences.

With kind regards

Bridget
